No Ralph Fiennes for Best Actor?

As much as I have enjoyed and appreciated Wes Andersons' last two films, it's kind of difficult for me to nominate any of the actors - they all kind of do that Wes Anderson deadpan kind of thing, kind of like they are all reading a short story.

I get that. I felt that the transition Fiennes made was enough for me to love the performance.

I think Fiennes performance is stellar and it would be a lesser character without his performance.

The hand of Anderson is so heavy, but I am a fan of Feinnes (eg, my choice for BSA in 2008 for In Bruges).  I will have to re-evaluate upon re-viewing.

Claire Denis' Bastards is on Netflix Instant and DVD.  Jia Zhang-ke's A Touch of Sin is on DVD (EDIT: and Netflix Instant).  I highly recommend both especially the latter.

I think I'd love how awkward it'd be, or how awkward it should be.
