Gave up on this after the third episode. I would never have bothered with it in the first place, but Alan Sepinwall's enthusiastic rave on HitFix persuaded me to give it a try. In hindsight, I should have been more suspicious that his examples of equally great shows were all ones that I'm lukewarm about at best. At the same time, he didn't mention once the show that seemed to me the most obvious parallel. I'm referring to the French Les Revenants, which, curiously, also got very high praise from him when it aired on Sundance Channel. But that show, which dealt with the sudden return of deceased loved ones as opposed to their sudden disappearance, is so completely in another league, it isn't even funny.

Well, that was excellent. Loved the final sequence. I'm glad the show waited to give us this until we really knew the characters, makes everything more important. However, I wonder how it would work as somebody's first episode. That'd be an interesting experiment.

Ok, well, after a shaky start, I think the second half of this first season was really great. The finale was spectacular. I didn't know this show had something like that in it. Really well told.

I'm crazy about this show. I think's possibly one of the best shows of the year right besides True Detective, Fargo, House of Cards and Game of Thrones and yet everyone I talk to is "meh" on it.

The writing, the acting, everything about it. Then again, I loved Lindelof's Lost which also seems to have a split reaction.

I just like that it's pretty committed to being so bleak and depressing almost all the time. Really enjoyed the first season, will watch more.

Not everyone from the first season cast is going to have as big of a role in the second season.

Seems like only six out of the fourteen series regulars will be returning in such capacity when the show comes back.

Boy, I loved that S2 premiere. Delightfully odd. What a nutty opening 10 minutes. What show does that??!?! This one, I guess.

It was a great premiere, Junior.  The opening was terrifyingly terrific.  Love introducing the new family.

The first two eps of this season have been so weird and creepy and unsettling.

I'm totally in.
