Validated Instruments (or lets all self analyze!)
« on: October 21, 2014, 09:18:33 AM »
I know there are several threads with various tests contained within to document personality types or other alignments to scientifically validated (or pop-psy) spectra. Thought this may be a good place to contain such information for group analysis purposes. ;D

Ran across this one this morning: http://www.chem.unt.edu/~./djtaylor/Extra/MEQ.pdf

MORNINGNESS-EVENINGNESS QUESTIONNAIRE Self-Assessment Version (or MEQ-SA). 19 questions on 5 pages and scoring/interpretation information starting on page 6.

Me: 30, just on the edge of "definite evening"

I got a 59, so just getting into moderate morning...good thing I work evenings... :o

Not surprising considering I work at 1pm, get off work at 11pm, and still am up every day at 8am. The flaw of this test is that it doesn't include an option for "I am a robot and do not require sleep."

I'm moderate evening, which sounds right.

47. Intermediate. Guess I can go either way - pretty true, I'd say!

I got 55, moderate morning.  I used to really be an evening person, but as I've grown older that has certainly shifted.   Unfortunately, my wife is still an evening person, so occasionally we sleep in shifts.

The flaw of this test is that it doesn't include an option for "I am a robot and do not require sleep."

That and the assumption that my internal clock adheres to a 24h cycle. It most definitely doesn't.
Otherwise: 29 = definite evening.

Oddly, I think my internal clock adheres to the 24hr news cycle. Though twitter may be messing about with that.
