I would go with the scene which is reminiscent of the Albert Brooks line "I say it here, it comes out there." from Broadcast News. Like most things in Nightcrawler, it is amped up. Russo shouting for the newscasters to hit the emotional lines again and again. Terrific and terrifying.

Is this an actual nomination?

The Imitation Game - Alan Turing having a 'Sherlock' moment when he finally pieces the Enigma machine together. Well it made me smile :)

Winter Sleep - Where it quite literally goes up in smoke. A few people gasped at the screening I was at :o
