D'Angelo - Black Messiah is out NOW.
« on: December 15, 2014, 02:36:43 AM »
So after almost a decade and a half, the new D'Angelo album is here.

Deserves its own thread. Already on iTunes and Spotify.

Been listening to it for the past few hours and it is tight, smooth and banging.

A big FU! to all those who have already released their Best Albums of 2014 lists.

I've been listening. :)

I like Another Life the most. What are your favorite songs, heisenbergman?

'Til It's Done' is gorgeous to me :)

1000 Deaths is just weird, but strangely appealing.

I'll listen to this, but I heard one song that P4K gave BNT to and it didn't do much for me. Not sure why this is a huge deal, it's not like it's a new Kanye album.

Not sure why this is a huge deal,
Though I suppose its critical reputation has in part benefited from the long wait for a follow-up, Voodoo is a pretty great record regardless of that narrative.
