Out of the blue, my wife's uncle (who she barely knows and I never heard of before yesterday) sent us a gigantic box of See's Candies. FOUR POUNDS of candy. Yum!

I got my wife a cheese-making kit. I have high hopes that it will go over well. She loves cheese, and she loves DIY/crafty stuff.

Martin, what is your favorite candy in that See's box? Cheese making? Sounds ambitious! Hope she has fun with it.

Sounds practically perfect in every way, smirnoff. :)    Ka tickets! You're a good son!

saltine, hope your outing was a good calm before the storm! Enjoy your company!

I've got family coming in too, so will be hosting until the new year. I'm most excited for a party I'm planning during this time. It's going to be a Golden Age of Hollywood night with a double feature of Singin' in the Rain (some of my nieces haven't seen this yet!) and Hail Caesar! with a dinner "at" the Brown Derby in between. I'm working on the menu and trivia during dinner, but everyone else is enthusiastically considering what to wear! I wish you could all be here. If you could dress up in your favorite Hollywood attire, what would it be?

Martin, what is your favorite candy in that See's box?

We've only scratched the surface, but so far my favorite is one that had a maple-flavored nougaty center.

going to spend xmas in Germany.. between xmas and New Years we will bring the Maisy up to Amsterdam by train, over to UK on ferry and take her to the farm in Wales for New Years which will be her home for the next half year.

She is loving the weather

Maybe I will get to watch a movie sometime this month during the holiday

I'm loving following along with Maisy's travels. It would make for a great children's book. :)

Such a great looking dog. What do you mean "take her to the farm in Wales for New Years which will be her home for the next half year."?

Very nice sentiment, 1SO!

We're up early this Christmas morning as the grandson got a trampoline and has called us to "come jump!"

Might be having a mimosa first!

MERRY CHRISTMAS TO MY FILMSPOTTING FAMILY!
