I'll need to give it some more thought, but these are the first single shots that I can remember making an impact on me.

Enemy - "What are you doing tonight?"
Listen Up, Phillip - Ashley's Face
Whiplash - "On My Way" (The Car Crash)

Definitely need to think back on Under The Skin...

Edge of Tomorrow - Drop to the Beach

One of those great single shots that begins when Tom Cruise drops from his ship and plunges behind him while he spins around out of control while soldiers crash and die around him. We hear his scream intensify and fade as he moves in relation to the camera. The shot ends right before he crashes onto the beach.

Planet of the Apes - Tank 360

Think this should be here in shot rather than dramatic scene.

This one, although I'm not sure what to call it, maybe "2 Scenes in One"?

Fair call.
