I'll clean this up tomorrow. In the meantime, this thread is open for comments.

The films that didn't get nominated might be a bigger story than those that did: Selma, The Imitation Game, The Theory of Everything, Foxcatcher, American Sniper, etc.

Disappointed Benedict Cumberbatch didn't make the cut.

The Best Surprise category is an odd one for me. A major sequel in the Marvel franchise being good isn't very surprising. An unoriginal revenge movie starring Keanu Reeves is.

That's pretty much my entire "No, thanks" collection.

This just means Selma and American Sniper are now 2015 eligible.

Pretty excited for 2 noms for Cotillard, hope she doesn't split her vote. Disappointed Jenny Slate got squeezed out.

Really hope everyone catches up with We Are The Best! (available on Netflix instant!) because it is deserving of Best Overlooked Film.

Only have 7 films with multiple noms that I've not yet seen and only 17 total. Might be the rare year where I see almost all the nominated films.

Looks like I need to stop as curator of DOCember...I've seen none of the nominated documentaries.

I guess I wasn't paying attention to the FYCs because I would have contested The Wind Rises as a Foreign Language Film. Hope everyone who voted for it in that category watched it with Japanese dub rather than English dub.

No noms for The Imitation Game has me shocked. It wasn't on my ballot because I just saw it last night. I've made a mistake.

I'm just flabbergasted that there are two categories (adapted screenplay, score) in which I've seen 4 out of 5 nominees.

Maybe I'll participate this year.  Looks like I need to prioritize Birdman, Boyhood, Whiplash, Nightcrawler, Inherent Vice and Kaguya to hit at least 4/5 in most of the categories.  All of which I wanted to see anyway.

I've seen all of the originals, zero adaptations. How long do I have to watch these?
