The Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt
« on: March 09, 2015, 05:37:13 PM »
Has anyone else gotten into this? I'm only one episode in, and while I can feel 30 Rock influences and style all over the place, I loved that show, so who am I to argue?

Can't wait to dive into this.

I finished it yesterday. There was no helping of myself. I didn't really watch much 30 Rock for whatever reason but I pretty much spent all of UKS giggling like a fool.

I haven't seen anybody dislike it yet. I'm on episode 8. Really enjoying basically every aspect of it.

I absolutely loved it. Considering all the dreary TV I watch, this was just a breath of fresh air. Brilliant and hilarious and normally I'm not the biggest binge watcher, but being able to take in multiple episodes at a time was great.

Also someone found a 30 Rock easter egg.

Really beautiful redhead at my office today was wearing a yellow sweater and I thought "Kimmy Schmidt cosplay!"

I've made it through the end of the second episode, but I'm not really feeling it. Not sure yet if I'll continue. :-/

I've made it through the end of the third episode, on my second go-through.

I've found that making UKS references like responding to "that's what she said" with "that's what he said because she shouldn't be talking" don't go over too well. I shall give it time.

I thought the Martin Short character was pretty funny. I had no idea it was based on a real person.

I thought the character was one of the low points of the show, and knowing it was based on a real person (and seeing the result) it is a morally troublesome low point at that.
