Oh Sandy, I loved this film so much.  It broke my heart, it made me see Anthony Hopkins in a renewed light, it reaffirmed my love of Emma Thompson.  I can see this finding a place in my Top 100 at some point.  Thank you for giving me the push to see it.

Man, that right there is why I started this crazy thing.

:) :)  I'm really glad you did. Even though I always procrastinate, I love doing this every month.

So...B- is what you're saying?

 ;D

(It doesn't seem like I would like the movie much. Am I wrong about that?)

I’m not really sure how to begin my review.

Well, you convinced me to watch it...  that might be a while but it is now on my list.. thanks both of you

After having A Summer's Tale as a major discovery last time PA was up (wait, that's an alternative fact, I watched it for someone else but PA approved) I really would like to make Summer one of my picks but that continues to be an elusive film.

Presently I have Be With Me from Netflix and also am looking to get Letter Never Sent and Johnny Got His Gun from the library.

I'm not sure if you would or not.  Have you seen other Merchant-Ivory films?

Haven't seen for PA:

Återträffen (The Reunion)
The Singing Detective
Salvador
Gegen die Wand (Head-On)
Missing
Cross of Iron
Indagine su un cittadino al di sopra di ogni sospetto (Investigation of a Citizen Above Suspicion)
Dance, Girl, Dance
Hail the Conquering Hero
Le tout nouveau testament (The Brand New Testament)
Good Bye Lenin!
Cat on a Hot Tin Roof
Maynila: Sa mga kuko ng liwanag (Manila in the Claws of Light)
Flesh and the Devil
C'était un rendez-vous
Kingdom of Heaven
Mr. Nobody
The Crow
Seventeen
The Decisive Moment
Angano... Angano...

Could take the easy way out and do one of the shorts. And who knows, I might end up doing that, but Investigation of a Citizen Above Suspicion has been on my watchlist for ages. And Head-On keeps popping up in this club. Also drawn to Missing and Seventeen, and there are a couple of other intriguing ones.

I had to Google that. Turns out I have not.
