Citizen Kane: A man dies.
Rocky: A guy fights in a boxing match.
The African Queen: A man and woman go for a boat ride.

Sam did once mention that I have an astounding ability for reductionism, so I guess I might as well put it to use.

I love reading the one sentence summaries on the DirecTV guide. They're usually pretty accurate, and sometimes fairly humorous in their succinctness. Whose job is it to write those things?

Except when the summary gives away a major plot point.   I was watching Stargate SG-1 and the twist was robot doubles of the the SG-1 team, and the plot description said, "scientist creates robot doubles of the SG-1 one team."  It was supposed to be a surprise!   The worst part was I didn't know who to complain to.

I doubt Adam and Sam have much free time for watching things other than movies, but I think series like FLCL, Paranoia Agent and Haibane Renmei show what anime can offer.

Paranoia Agent is an excellent series. It is only 13 episodes long (FLCL is shorter than that).

Definitely check out Paranoia Agent.

Thanks.  I think so far, it's been 4-5 times my names has been mentioned in the history of Filmspotting so far.  I was glad they read my DVD list.

Its official. Dreamgirls is fantastic. So my Top 5 Supporting actors/actresses stay the way they are, with Jennifer Hudson and Eddie Murphy in the top spots.

It does suprise me how much good buzz Dreamgirls is generating.  Good reviews and good word of mouth. When I watch the trailer I can take it or leave it.

I have a couple friends who saw it and were not impressed. They all love old fashioned musicals and thought this one came up short. I'm torn on whether to see it or not.  :?
Strikeouts are boring - besides that, they're fascist.  Throw some ground balls.  More democratic.
