Really want to see a few of these, but so far I've only seen Inside Out and The Boy And The Beast.

I've only seen Inside Out but I expect I'll see 50-75% of these before the Oscars.

I posted this to update as I watch some of the others. I know many people just vote once and never look back but it was designed to be an evolving poll.

Saw Inside Out. Only other one I'm excited about is Anomalisa.

1SO, you have a write up of The Good Dinosaur?

Honestly, after better consideration, many of these do not make me want to watch them at all. I am always suspicious of new Dreamworks releases and although I love the minions as characters, the first movies were not that great.

Right Here

I didn't write about the other two. I'm not a fan of either Despicable Me film, so I wasn't too surprised at my *harumph* towards Minions. These films continue to have the most off-putting character design. The enlarged features and hard angles are probably easier to animate (much like the simple design of the minions), but I can't shake the feeling that the filmmakers enjoy making fun of the human body. I don't like the super-sized eyes Disney favors, and this just applies that look to the entire body so the people barely resemble people. The minions have the potential to be great silent comedians like Jacques Tati for kids, but everything about the film - look and sound - wears out its welcome quickly.
* 1/2

Home benefitted from being watched directly after Minions. I kept thinking "well, compared to the other film it's not that bad." There's nothing fresh here in the storytelling, but there's a warm fuzziness absent from Minions. Too much warm fuzziness instead of some more intelligent ideas, but I was so warm and fuzzy deprived, I didn't hate it.

Minions is a guilty pleasure for me.  It isn't that funny, but I keep laughing anyway.
