The Intern
« on: June 06, 2016, 07:02:49 PM »
Just watched this movie last week. The movie overall was decent, however, there was one scene in the beginning that "irked" me, where Robert De Niro was strolling the streets and comes upon the flyer regarding an internship. To quickly (lazily) provide the audience with background on the character, De Niro begins to read off a list of technological references where he obviously doesn't understand any of them.  Then his friend comes over and reads the same list to reinforce his/their age and lack of connection with technology.  It was some of the most heavy-handed story telling I've seen before.

I mainly lurk, but if this isn't the proper place to discuss a movie - feel free to delete !

Welcome, dassix. :)

This is the place, so discuss away. I wish I had seen the movie, so I could chime in.
