I loved Jessica Jones when it came out. It blew me away. I didn't expect much from Marvel, but after the first episode thinking there was going to be a happy ending, I couldn't stop watching. I mean, I have watched Daredevil before Jessie came along, and I saw it as a good step towards grittism, but I wasn't expecting Marvel to tackle a show that's filled with the gritty noir style you've seen in Sin City and similar shows. The atmosphere and cinematography was just beautiful that I was thoroughly impressed.
Daredevil Season 2 is also premiering two days from now, and I can't wait for that one too. The first season was so satisfying with Vincent D'Onofrio's performance. I was a little on the fence about a superhero death match taking the spotlight in season 2, but after consideration, I felt it's good character growth for Murdock. Hopefully, this could be the step towards the infamous Frank Miller story, "Born Again" that Netflix needed.
