Oscar Nominated Live-Action Shorts (2016)
« on: February 01, 2016, 09:32:57 AM »
Hey guys!

I am not sure if I am aloud to bring this topic up in this section, but I was wondering if anyone has got a chance to check out these bitties at the Landmark or wherever you hail from. I thought it was a pretty good selection of Live-Action short films. My aunt and I both had different taste in which ones we liked.

3. USA's DAY ONE, left me at the edge of my seat, but did not satisfy my complete attention.
2. The Uk's STUTTERER was a charming and well-shot film, but I found the moral/ending a bit cheesy and unrealistic.

I would have to say my favorite live action short this year was:
1. Jamie Donoughue's SHOK, the first Albanian/Kosovan-made movie to be nominated for an Oscar.

Did you hear the conversation on this on FS SVU?

They briefly cover every short nominated this year.  Pretty good discussion, if too short.
