I have seen five titels, so I'm sittning with a pretty bad hand this year.
Extraordinary (81-100˚) | Very good (61-80˚) | Good (41-60˚) | Fair (21-40˚) | Poor (0-20˚)

Is it of any concern to the Best Debut nomination that Selma was Ava Duvernay's third theatrically released film?
Love the DuVernay/Selma love, but I'm wondering about this, too. DuVernay won Best Director at Sundance for her second feature, Middle of Nowhere.

I'll be revisiting the nominees for Debut Feature tonight. There could be ripple effects with Surprise and Overlooked Film as well.

I'm surprised that Kingsman: The Secret Service appeared on eight different ballots but received no votes for Best Surprise.

I thought I had voted for it, went to my PMs and couldn't find my ballot so... maybe I didn't vote ? I really thought I had. Maybe Victoria could have gotten if Overlooked then, sad that it got nothing :(

Haven't seen :

Tangerine
Spy
It Follows
What We Do in the Shadows
World of Tomorrow
Blind
Kurt Cobain: Montage of Heck
White God
Shaun the Sheep Movie
Song of the Sea
Going Clear: Scientology and the Prison of Belief
The Overnighters
Love & Mercy
The Guest
The Peanuts Movie
Slow West
A Girl Walks Home Alone at Night
The End of the Tour
Gett
Jauja

Will prioritize the first three.

Ha, you voted twice actually, Teproc. I counted your second one because it seemed more complete.

Hah. Good ! Weird that I don't see it in my sent PMs. I didn't have Kingsman as Surprise then ? I did have Creed though, glad to see it got so many noms, that was much much better than it had any right to be.

Have a decent amount I have to see, and even some of those are things I actually want to see. Dreading having to watch Spy and MI (guess it's as good a place as any to start on the series), and wish I could just ignore the documentaries but they somehow slipped in to other categories.

Here's the thing, people. I get it. I love The Beach Boys and especially Pet Sounds. Amy Winehouse also made great music. Kurt Cobain also made music too (but Nirvana is pretty trash). But let us not lose sight of the FILM in Filmspots. No soundtrack is better used in a film than it is in Mommy. Only one musical cue was nominated for Best Scene as well. Or Best Shot. Or whatever. The point is, obviously, that is the unquestionable winner of that category. Do not fail FLY.

Also, is deadline for final submission still April 2 or is it also moved back?

Daaaaamn ; this would have been a much better vote than Spy or half my other surprises.

No nominations either for Straight Outta Compton, Jurassic World, Furious 7, Jupiter Ascending, or Me and Earl and the Dying Girl.

For both movies starting with J, this is as it should be. Haven't seen the other ones.
