So, based on what people voted for, what were they biggest surprises and biggest disappointments of the summer? Are there any films from the current top ten that were on zero ballots? Or any film from outside the top ten that was on every ballot?

Answering my own question...

Central Intelligence (currently #8 for the summer) was only on one ballot (#10 on Dave the Necrobumper's), as was the The Legend of Tarzan (currently #9, which Sandy nailed exactly). Biggest underperformer was definitely Independence Day: Resurgence (on every ballot but Dave's, and at #12 for the summer), followed by Alice Through the Looking Glass (on six ballots, but only #17 for the summer), The BFG (5 ballots, #25 for the summer)), and Warcraft (four ballots, #26 for the summer).

Again, there has been no movement in the top 10. However it is possibly going to change for the final result. Star Trek: Beyond gained $4M, and Jason Bourne gained $9M. So it looks like Jason Bourne will pass Star Trek, but will they have enough legs to get to $155.5M and pass X-Men.

Don't forget to put your guesses in for the Autumn Box office game.

1. Finding Dory ($479,602,645)    No Movement
2. Captain America: Civil War ($407,826,164)    No Movement
3. The Secret Life of Pets ($353,221,005)    No Movement
4. Suicide Squad ($282,882,627)    No Movement
5. X-Men: Apocalypse ($155,442,489)    No Movement
6. Star Trek Beyond ($150,870,049)    No Movement
7. Jason Bourne ($149,357,235)    No Movement
8. Central Intelligence ($127,191,219)    No Movement
9. The Legend of Tarzan ($125,600,081)    No Movement
10. Ghostbusters ($124,952,621)    No Movement

Here's how BoxOffice Pro predicted the summer:

1. Captain America: Civil War ($425M)
2. Finding Dory ($390M)
3. The Secret Life of Pets ($277M)
4. Suicide Squad ($275M)
5. X-Men: Apocalypse ($240M)
6. Jason Bourne ($195M)
7. Independence Day: Resurgence ($175M)
8. Alice Through the Looking Glass ($170M)
9. Star Trek Beyond ($159M)
10. Central Intelligence ($155M)

Pretty damn good, but even they were suckered by Independence Day and Alice.

It was a very tight race for 5,6, and 7 and also for 8,9 and 10.

Highest place movie not voted for: Bad Moms (#12)

So the results of our guesses all those months ago is:
PersonMovement   Score   Scoring Films   Perfect Guess   Worst Guess (Guess → Actual)
1. 1SO    Same (+1)8373,4,5,68 → 26 (The BFG)
2. Corndog    Same (-2)7474,610 → 26 (The BFG)
3. Teproc    Same (+3)7171,2,79 → 24 (Neighbours 2)
4. Dave the Necrobumper    Up 1 (+4)7076,72 → 26 (The BFG)
5. tinyholiday    Down 2 (-1)67746 → 18 (Alice...)
6. Sandy    Up 3 (+2)6562,58 → 37 (Free State of Jones)
7. The Deer Hunter    Down 2 (-3)63698 → 28 (Warcraft)
8. Combined    Down 3 (-5)617-10 → 26 (The BFG)
9. DarkeningHumour    Same (-4)597-7 → 26 (The BFG)
10. St. Martin the Bald    Down 2 (-8)57649 → 28 (Warcraft)
11. smirnoff    Same (-)566-10 → 134 (Clown)

Well done 1SO a clear winner. Nobody correctly guessed 8 or 10. Suicide Squad in position 4 was the most correctly guess position. See you at the Autumn game.

Between 1SO and me, we'd have 1 to 7 right ! I forgot I was the only one predicting Dory to top it all, makes my vast overestimation of Alice sting less.

Congrats 1SO ! And thanks Dave, for organizing, looking forward to the Fall edition.
