Recently, I noticed that the show notes and chapter marks are no longer supplied with the podcast (perhaps due to move to new podcast network?). I really like having these features as it allows me to skip past reviews for movies that I have yet to see or that don't interest me.

Several podcast apps also make use of the chapter marks to allow the user to quickly move to the correct part of the show. But even if these aren't available, having the full show notes with timestamps available would be enough for me.

Full show notes for every episode can be found at our website.

filmspotting.net

The current filmspotting app is not operating under our new association with panoply network of podcasts.

and thanks for listening!

Not sure what you're referring to, unless specifically to the app - I still put all the show notes and timestamps in the podcast feed and on the website.

FWIW I'm seeing the same thing on Podkicker, the Android app I use to download the show : the latest episode's description is only one sentence instead of the full show notes. I suspect this is related to the app discontinuation somehow ?

Something weird does seem to be happening since Panoply switchover. Looking into it. Though - everything is how it has always been and should be in iTunes. So... weird.

The app I've been using (Overcast for iOS) used to display the full show notes and chapter marks, but no longer. As mentioned by Teproc, I now only see the first sentence for #590. (Example of chapter marks within the app: https://2672686a4cf38e8c2458-2712e00ea34e3076747650c92426bbb5.ssl.cf1.rackcdn.com/2015-10-09-025112.jpeg)

Oddly, I compared this to Apple's own Podcasts app and it does show the full show notes. Something has indeed changed recently, but doesn't seem to affect all podcast apps equally.

Note from Panoply:

We are now planning to make a small change so that the Show Notes in Megaphone are reflected in the Description tag that is included in the RSS feed. This should make your Feedburner feed look like it did before. Not sure on the exact timeline yet for when that change will happen. As soon as I know I'll let you know.
