Sicario
Blackhat
A Most Violent Year
Furious 7
'71
The Drop
Fast & Furious 6
Le Passé ("Farhadi is the kitchen sink Hitchcock.")
Side Effects
Jack Reacher
Sightseers
End of Watch

TV Thrillers
The Night Manager
Turks & Cacos/ Salting The Battlefield

I like Carol as a thriller. I don't think Patricia Highsmith capable of not writing a thriller, whatever the subject matter.

Hitchcock Truffaut has come out recently. As an overview of the subject, is essential.

When I press "thriller" on Letterbox, these are the ones that appear on the first page that I've watched.

Great contribution - I especially like THE NIGHT MANAGER that I saw recently!!!

Blue Ruin
The Gift (2015)
The Guest
Nightcrawler
Snowpiercer
Coherence
Stoker
Gone Girl
Non-Stop
Prisoners
Trance

Not sure which of these fall outside the scope of what you're looking for, but I'm certain Blue Ruin is one you want to add to your watchlist. I hear that director's follow-up, The Green Room, is just as good but I missed it in theaters.

I've heard a lot of good things about GREEN ROOM as well but haven't seen it yet, BLUE RUIN I have missed too so that's a super good suggestion and I will watch it tonight. NIGHTCRAWLER is brilliant - even though it might be a bit too weird for a mainstream audience. GONE GIRL is awesome. NON-STOP is a favorite, maybe not the most innovative film ever but definitely a top Friday night pop-corn thriller that will deliver! Brilliant contribution, keep'em coming.

I missed Eye In The Sky at the cinema, so I'm looking forward to it on digital. So many good reviews.

I'd be more interested in Jack Reacher 2 if MacQuarrie was directing again.

Otherwise there's the new Bourne, and The Infiltrator which is Bryan Cranston versus Pablo Escobar! There's also a new Stathe movie coming.
