I know this isn't a new story but it's probably still the most interesting one of these games.

Yes is it fair for athletes to have to compete with anatomically superior athletes like Usain or Mo. How far do you want to take the argument of normative testing.

A bit more positive is the presence of Chris Mosier, both competing in the triathlon and appearing in a prominent Nike commercial directly acknowledging the fact that he is FtM trans. Of course, no one gets too concerned with trans men because they figure there's no getting an advantage among men based on birth sex, it's only in "women's" competitions that people feel the need to gatekeep. You see this in roller derby too where men's derby has long had an inclusive policy while the women's sport had to be dragged into trans acceptance.

Exactly, it's difficult to imagine anyone subjecting male athletes to the kind of reverse doping that has become a requirement for Dutee Chand or Semenya in order to compete in the past. Or simply more high profile athletes.

Well, hometown hero Jordan Burroughs lost. Apparently the match got chippy. He went to my high school. Winslow represent! I guess there's always next year.
