I’ve got Alanis Morissette/Garbage/Liz Phair and Brandi Carlile concerts in the next two months. Maybe my last concerts unless something good comes to a 100% seated venue. Standing for hours is a young person’s game.

I am waiting for the day they allow live music in a regular venue again.  I got to go see my first live performance last week for a jazz group I like but they only allowed a very small audience, seated in twos, spaced far apart at an arts Center.  No clubs (legally) have been allowed to play live music, piped in music, or sports on TV for the last 15 months.

Add another one, looks like the bois and I are hitting James Blake in early Oct. will be the sixth time or so I’ve seen Jimmy B, I believe, and am pumped ofc.

Also, ET, I mostly just get emails from venue email blasts I signed up letting me know about upcoming tours, don’t do a lot of going out looking for them.

That show was last night.
Throat is raw - was in the very front of the stage hanging off the barrier.
My god do these guys bring it. Every. Single. Show.
So much energy and passion. There were all on fire but that violinist - damn.
Hey, nice marmot!

Roger Waters is planing a tour and will be playing in Chicago the end of July 2022, around the same time I plan to be there for a nephews wedding. I reached out to one of my old high school friends that is down in Texas to see if we would be interested to come up for the show and it looks like a plan.  Likely also go watch my favourite jazz singer perform if she is playing that week.
