Two of my favorite trailers so far this year are THE DEAD DON'T DIE and GODZILLA KING OF THE MONSTERS, but now reviews are out and are terrible for both.

The new Charlie's Angels trailer has me curious because if the Kristen Stewart casting works, it will be inspired on the level of Johnny Depp as Jack Sparrow. I'm just not sure she has the star power to move back to franchise blockbusters, though Naomi Scott (Aladdin) is ready to make up for that,

However, the first minute of the new Hobbs & Shaw trailer along with the first minute of the last one (with the parallel hallway fights) displays a level of realistic CG combined with real stunts that has me thinking this could easily take in a Billion dollars. None of the action in Charlie's Angels looks close to this level.

The Charlie's Angels trailer was very bland and the filmmaking looked completely generic :/

Knives Out

I was very excited about a good old fashioned All Star Whodunit from Rian Johnson, but this looks terrible. In particular, every moment with Chris Evans is a giant thud from the typewriter, but nobody looks comfortable with their part.

Still looking forward to the movie, but also not a fan of that Knives Out trailer. I'm rarely one to complain about a humorous tone (I often prefer it), but yes, the jokes and the zoom-cuts feel like they would detract from the tension I'm expecting for an all-star whodunit. Was hoping for less "Clue" and more "Murder on the Orient Express" '74.

Although it does make me want to rewatch Gosford Park. I liked how that movie balanced itself.
