In The Heights

Jon M. Chu directs the film adaptation of the musical that put Lin-Manuel Miranda on the map. The trailer downplays the power of the songs, with just a flavor of LMM's lyrical style, but I'm very excited for this.

Yea, the trailer didn't thrill me on the music front but I'm hoping it'll be good.

This is literally the only musical I've seen on Broadway and the music is indeed quite good, so I'm not super worried about that. I was afraid this would be visually boring, but I was happy to see all the colors and inventive staging in the trailer. Looks great.

I'm guessing there will be an original song to get nominated for an Oscar because Lin needs his EGOT that was cruelly denied him for Moana.

The trailer for Malick's latest is the most compelling ad ive seen for a film since Us. I wont get my hopes up that it's going to be my kind of film, but good trailer nonetheless.
