This was the first trailer for this movie that sold me. Even if it's just adding a few layers here and some depth there, as well as perhaps blowing out some off the musical numbers even more, I'm into this now. I liked the first two live-action Disney things (oh, shit, doesn't Alice count? Well, ok, I liked Cinderella and The Jungle Book), and I hope this carries on with that tradition.

The original is #180 on my Essentials. (Review). The cast here is perfect as is Coppola, but I can't help being protective.

What a cast and crew. Philippe Le Sourd hasn't done anything since The Grandmaster, happy to see him doing this.

If that's what a slump looks like I'm afraid of a hitting streak.

I'm spooked!

For a fairly ambiguous trailer I think it's quite effective.

I totally get this, but I'm optimistic.

I've been busy recently, but I've returned for a bit just to show this trailer:

I think it's not too soon to say that this movie is definitely referencing Rocky III. Look carefully for that one flash of a moment where Lightning is racing at the beach. It reminds me of that training montage where Rocky was running with Creed in Rocky III - at the beach! It helps that the plot of Cars 3 (or I guess, Cars III ;) ) is almost the same as that movie.

I know I'm probably jumping the gun, but it's a nice speculation to play around with in my head. lol Makes me more excited to watch Cars 3 now, which is something I'm sure a lot of people - Pixar fans or otherwise - didn't expect to say after the fiasco of Cars 2.
