Cloud Atlas (Lana Wachowski, Lilly Wachowski, & Tom Tykwer, 2012)
If you stitch together enough silly stories with conviction, do they become less silly almost by default? I don't know. As plenty of people have said, for all its flaws (I cringed one more than one occasion),
Cloud Atlas is rarely boring. Its Filmspot win for Editing is perhaps the supreme example of the best editing equating to the most editing (especially when temporal shifts are involved). The score is probably more award-worthy, though there was honestly too much of it for me appreciate it fully.
