Shows I Gave Up On

Games Of Thrones (I tried twice to watch that show from the start, got about 3 eps in twice, before I gave up ;D)
True Detective (Season 2) (Got about 6 eps in before I gave up, not watching this guff ;D)
Heroes (Season 2) (Loved Season 1, just couldn't get into season 2 onwards, or the crappy re-boot)

Shows I Enjoyed Watching, But Haven't Be Able To Complete The Series
(Sometimes They Can't Find A Channel In The UK)

Justified (Seasons 5 & 6)
Weeds (Season 4 onwards)
Dexter (Season 3 onwards)
Boardwalk Empire (Season 3 onwards)

Shows Which Are Highly Rated But I Haven't Seen

Breaking Bad
House Of Cards
The Shield
Treme
Mad Men
Lost
Suits

I'm sure there are others, recommendations would be nice :)

I'll finish The Wire when you finish Mad Men
I'm game. Might not be able to start until this weekend.

How much more do you have to go?  It's been years since I've watched The Wire, so I would want to start at the beginning again.  Maybe we each set a personal goal from when we'll finish the series.

30 Rock
Mad Men
Parks and Recreation
The Office
Arrested Development

How far into Parks and Rec did you get?
Think the end of season 4.

Ah. If it was earlier I was going to tell you that 4 is the best season but it sounds like you don't share that opinion.

I loved season 4. I just had to wait for 5 to hit Netflix and I never got around to it.

Well done you got to episode 3 of GoT. Decided it was hobbitty tosh after 2.  ;D

I watched all the series of Justifed on Now tv.

Broadwalk Empire should have been perfect. It was dreary.

That strikes me as a matter of logistic barriers and not something you gave up on.

I'm curious how many of these picks are just shows they never got around to seeing rather than shows they actively decided to stop watching.

Mad Men - episode one turned me off
Peaky Blinders - didn't carry on after the first season
Justified - Tried to watch it twice... lost interest both times after about 3 episodes. Actually, I lost interest in episode one, but waited to see if it might grab me. Really wanted to like it.
X-Files - I was a dedicated viewer back when it aired, but tried rewatching it and stopped after season 1... feel like it probably doesn't get good until season 4 or something, but don't want to jump ahead and do want to slog through.
How to get away with murder - one episode
Boardwalk Empire - season 1 and done.
Archer - couple of episodes
Narcos - one episode.
