I haven't considered a new Top 100, but if I were, it would likely fall in the same place.

It is such a Corndog movie, through and through! :)

I propose than when it's not a keeper you video yourself frisbeeing the disc angrily out a window. :)

This is a wonderful proposal. As is getting back into this overly ambitious and daunting marathon at some point.

It makes a satisfying clinking sound if you throw it against rocks.

*Because some films are included in box sets, some films will be kept despite not individually making the cut, or vice versa.

In the process of updating the first post with complete list, and including stats.

Alfred Hitchcock: The Legend Begins
Directed by Alfred Hitchcock
1927-1939

Decision: KEEPER

Films Affected:
The Lodger: A Story of the London Fog
The Ring
Champagne
Easy Virtue
The Farmer's Wife
Blackmail
The Manxman
Juno and the Paycock
Rich and Strange
The Skin Game
Number 17
The Man Who Knew Too Much
The 39 Steps
Sabotage
Secret Agent
Young and Innocent
The Lady Vanishes
Jamaica Inn

Also, I have recently purchased the "Classic Hitchcock" Criterion set, which includes The Lady Vanishes, The Man Who Knew Too Much, The 39 Steps and Foreign Correspondent. As a result, I have decided to cut the previous Hitchcock boxset, which ultimately only loses me THE LODGER from films I would have liked to have kept since the Criterion set has the other three included, at a much better quality. I will not be revisiting these three films for special features as a part of this marathon.

Long dormant, and probably will remain so for some time, I am still keeping this open because there will come a time to purge some of my monster collection. With the way that technology has advanced with numerous streaming services, TCM, and even library availability, the need for me to own 500+ movies is quickly fading, and this will be a useful marathon to aid in my ability to trim the fat.

I threatened it once before, but I may also at some point make some purge decisions without viewings. TBD.

Stay tuned.
