Bondo's List

Visit a trappist brewery in Belgium.
Watch a Liverpool game at Anfield.
...

I am going to steal your first one because was just talking with my wife about maybe doing a trip to Belgium next year.  The second one just to make all my Liverpool fan friends jealous.

Other's I need to think about more

Thanks, chardy! You're very welcoming! :)

Preliminary phase projects?  I suppose.  For me, these are mostly dreams, some of which I don't really know that I'll get around to, some I certainly will.   I think we should have the freedom to dismiss certain items off of our list as being unrealistic as time goes by and I refuse to restrict my "project" list to reality.

But this is what I got:

-Visit all the major national parks
-Move out of the Portland area to a quieter place
-Become a full-time writer (religious non-fiction and non-religious fiction)
-Get a book published (with real paper pages!)
-Establish a colony of homeless people, perhaps in a ghost town
-Give my wife a house and especially a kitchen where she is in charge
-Move the multitudes out of my house into their own housing

I wish these things for you too, oldkid. Your dreams are lofty and whether realistic or not, they are yours. Embrace them. :) I too will put on my list things that I may or may not feasibly get to do, but if I wish it, it's worthy for the list. Thanks for the expanded insight on what our lists can mean for us.

I've been to Brussels twice but earlier this year it was empty and austere with everything happening so stick to the smaller cities which are nicer anyway. Bruges and Ghent should get you sorted.

I'm going next August.

@chardy...my plan is to stay in Brussels and do day trips...Bruge and Ghent are on the list, as is Chimay. I suppose I could do something else outside Brussels but not currently planning to. I like being able to not pack all my stuff every day when I travel. Hoping to catch an Anderlect or Brugge game. In any event, there are enough bars/beers in Brussels to keep me occupied, even if the rest of it is a bore.

Now I just want to quote In Bruges.

I should add now -

to move to the UK.

I just got conformation yesterday from agency that I should be legally allowed to live and work in the UK though still need to apply Right of Abode or UK passport.

Just finished a meeting with my VP an hour ago in which they say they will work out details of a package to present to me in about a weeks time or so.  Then I will have to make a choice.

You're spoiled for choice of course but my favourite experience was at De Garre in Bruges where they have their own beer. It's in a tiny alley, blink and you'll miss it, so do some research, but it's worth it!

DarkeningHumour's list:

Go a month without listening to or referencing Hamilton - days to go: 30 (blame the thread's initiator)
Finish those three open books that are lying around.
Watch those 2h30 movies you bought.
Punch the kid from 4B.

-Establish a colony of homeless people, perhaps in a ghost town

This sounds like a Fallout objective. Actually, a few of the others too...

Well, the fallout occurred, so I suppose that's where I am.
