I rate most of these films a strong B+, but Texas Chainsaw Massacre is the only straight A (pending a rewatch of Psycho).

I think I'd love how awkward it'd be, or how awkward it should be.

Halloween, man. It seems too simple. But that's also why it's great.

Halloween
The Thing
The Exorcist
The Shining
Alien
Psycho

Rosemary's Baby
The Texas Chainsaw Massacre

Somehow haven't seen:
Night of the Living Dead
A Nightmare on Elm Street (I even own this)

In past years, The Shining would've run away with this poll. I'm glad to see the love spread so wide, with every film receiving at least one vote and four films tied for the lead.

Maybe I should make the most voted movie I have not watched my entry for this year's Shocktober. The Witch and Cloverfield are the only horror movies I have watched this year.
