What is some of your favorite spooky music?

I'm planning on making a playlist for election day.

Here's some of mine:

Pimpf by Depeche Mode

The Waiter #3 by Black Heart Procession

Be Careful With that Axe, Eugene

Not really spooky, but dealing with some cool horror themes:

This was the newest Halloween flavored music post, so I figured I'd try posting a spotify playlist in here to see how it works. I'm also open to suggestions! What spooky music do you like to listen to get into the Halloween spirit(s)?

Edit: the playlist embedding doesn't seem to work. Works for a single song, not a playlist.

Thriller?

Now that I teach elementary school, I better figure out how to get in better holiday spirits.

Thriller is an all-time, of course.

The impetus for this particular playlist was a collection of songs I could play before my monster-themed freshman composition class. But then I just turned it into a more generic spooky themed playlist when I was done teaching that class.

Just about anything by Black Heart Procession, especially their second album.

I'm gonna go off-topic, because I love this...my book club for my 4th graders is on a book about a Mexican-American girl who is obsessed with punk music, so I play kid-friendly songs by The Ramones, Green Day, etc. Kids are actually getting a kick out of it. They're lovely at this age.

Honestly, my dad and I throw on a/the Spotify Halloween playlist during trick or treating, and I (uncostumed) pass out the candy, while he (costumed as an Uncle Fester-like hunchback who groans and stuff) scares the living hell out of all the neighborhood children. All I can remember is the Monster Mash is a very important part of this list.

Black Sabbath seems very Halloween.

Early Rainbow days had a few epic songs that aren’t properly appreciated.  Still think one of the best guitar solos ever put down... period
