Since I've been saying Infinity War is better than Civil War, clearly I needed to move a vote.

You have? Damn...I like the movie, but Civil War is tight.

1. Civil War is where the MCU started to feel overstuffed. This doesn't come across in Infinity War, where there's plenty of work to go around for everyone.

2. While I admire the way the film goes intimate in the finale, Civil War peaks at the airport and I rarely feel like watching the rest of the film.

3. Baron Zemo’s plan is ludicrously convoluted, and completely dependent on a mixture of luck, coincidence, and a bunch of stuff he probably couldn’t control and definitely couldn’t foresee.

Updated through what I saw in 2018. Not a bad stretch of films, although I did skip Ant-Man and the Wasp since I wasn't too hot on the first film. And I'm actually curious about what happens in the next Avengers film, which is a weird thing to say about a superhero movie.

Doctor Strange
Guardians of the Galaxy
Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2

Avengers: Infinity War
Thor: Ragnarok
Black Panther
Spider-Man: Homecoming

The Avengers
Captain America: Civil War
Ant-Man
Iron Man 3
Avengers: Age of Ultron
Iron Man

Thor
Thor: The Dark World
Captain America: Winter Soldier
The Incredible Hulk
Iron Man 2

I've now seen every one of these damn things and I can say without a doubt BLACK PANTHER and THE AVENGERS are the only good entries in this series.

The CAPTAIN AMERICA TRILOGY and AVENGERS: ENDGAME come awfully close to good but have a few bad scenes that keep them from greatness.

The majority of the rest are varying levels of meh.

Only four of these movies would I consider downright bad: CAPTAIN MARVEL, IRON MAN 2, SPIDER-MAN: FAR FROM HOME, and THOR: THE DARK WORLD. Just absolutely dismal, joyless corporate products that make me long for the often misguided yet idiosyncratic direction of Zack Snyder or James Wan.

I have not seen them all, and I have no intention of doing so. There are three I like, so I voted: Thor, Thor:Ragnarok (great comedy), and Black Panther (which is the only one I own). I've seen like 7 or 8 of them. The two Avengers movies I saw were just mind-numbing in their action. The original Iron Man, not funny. The second one, also not funny. Snark is the lowest level of humor, I'd say. A friend swears I need to give Guardians of the Galaxy a look, THAT might happen.

I feel like there is maybe only 5 minutes of good comedy in RAGNAROK but maybe my memory is hazy. That one seems to be universally loved but I thought it spent nearly equal time on a whole lot of character drama that I had zero interest in.

GUARDIANS is alright yet suffers from a lot of the same problems that plagues the films. You can feel the struggle over and the aesthetic between Feige and Gunn more than the others though which is why people often cite it as unique.

Maybe you only watched 5 minutes of the film.

Guardians 1 tops Age of Ultron for MCU film with the most time wasted connecting to the larger universe.
