Jodorwoski's Dune (but I would need to watch Dune first...)

You really don't. If anything it's better to watch it after.

Won't the comparison just make me sad ?

I don't know. I don't like Lynch's Dune, but I'm not sure Jodorowsky's would have been great either, it's probably much better in our imaginations.

This seems like a good place to ask this question: What motivates you to watch documentaries ? Is it the opportunity it learn something or do you look at them as entertainment like any other movie ?

I think I look at documentaries as both most times.

I agree with this.

I like the Lynch film as its own thing, but it strikes me that each approach is quite unique and separate.

For a fan of the books, the two miniseries Dune and Children of Dune are the best representations.  Lynch's Dune is just silly with some cool visuals.  I'm personally glad Jodorwoski's Dune was never made because it seems excessively silly and mystical while the book is an intellectual powerhouse.

I've been holding off on some films for this month.

Tickled
13th
Pervert Park
Under the Sun
Making of a Murderer
Holy Hell
(Dis)honesty
Encounters at the End of the World

We'll see how many I get to, but I like this list.

Yea, that's why I say I like the Lynch film as its own thing. The Dune miniseries did a better job. Never got to Children of Dune.

I didn't even know there was a miniseries.
