Well, at least none of the late comers were paying attention to this weekend's BO, because Underworld is getting swallowed up by the holiday releases. I have it at #9, but it might not even crack the Top 10. It still might simply because it will have the longest run of the season.

The Great Wall is the big question mark for me. I think it will play more like Warcraft and do well in China while tanking here.

Get Out made a big leap in the projections, but it only has one week to really over perform. I think A Cure For Wellness will beat its current projections, but again, only has two weeks to crack the Top 10. Which is probably feasible with how weak the field is.

I hope to have the combined worked out today, but I suspect I will not. I will not have use of the necessary computer for a few days, so the game results for the weekend may not come out until Friday.

4. Bastards
5. The Space Between Us

Here are the BoxOffice Pro projections:

1. The LEGO Batman Movie ($210M)
2. Fifty Shades Darker ($83M)
3. Patriots Day ($78M)
4. xXx: The Return of Xander Gage ($72M)
5. The Great Wall ($68M)
6. A Dog’s Purpose ($65M)
7. Fist Fight ($63M)
8. Get Out ($56M)
9. Resident Evil: The Final Chapter ($52M)
10. John Wick: Chapter Two ($45M)

However, taking into account the release dates and using my best guess to make adjustments accordingly, their forecast for the purposes of this game looks more like this:

1. The LEGO Batman Movie ($176.4M)
2. xXx: The Return of Xander Gage ($71.28M)
3. Fifty Shades Darker ($69.72M)
4. A Dog’s Purpose ($61.75M)
5. Resident Evil: The Final Chapter ($49.4M)
6. The Great Wall ($46.92M)
7. Split ($44.55M)
8. Fist Fight ($43.47M)
9. Underworld: Blood Wars ($42M)
10. Sleepless ($42M)

Sleepless could be the... sleeper film to crack the Top 10. Doesn't seem to have much buzz though.

I had Patriot's Day in the last game. Was it even eligible for the Holiday Season?

Me too, in an unfortunate last minute addition. It was technically eligible as it had a limited release around Christmas.

Yes, as it is listed in the 2016 Holiday Season, it will not be listed in the 2017 Winter season. This is the same reason as Hidden Figures and A Monster Calls were dropped from my list for 2017 Winter.

Ok, look forward to you joining us for the next game.

Resident Evil: The Final Chapter  43.0  5
Split  40.0  6
Underworld: Blood Wars  39.0  7
Rings  25.0  8
Bastards  21.0  9
A Dog's Purpose  20.0  10
Rock Dog  14.0  11
The Space Between Us  10.0  12
