My first order of business is finishing up this, which I claimed I finished yesterday in order to meet my 2016 Reading Challenge :-[:

The Girl with All the Gifts by M.R.Carey

Not over the moon for this yet, but it still has my interest.

I have The Girls and have started it twice but not gotten far enough in to judge it.

Yes. I saw you listed it in 2017 movies.  I'll have to wait to see it when it arrives in AUS, if it does.

I'm only in Chapter 9 so too early to judge the book, but there are some surprises unfolding.

The Snow Child by Eowyn Ivey

Anyone else read this? I'm reading it for a new book club I joined. I knew it was magical realism, but they're dragging out the reveal FOREVER.

Mine is very academic, based on extant documents etc.
