Trying to decide whether or not to read War and Peace.  Anyone here have an experience with that book?

After finishing the bio of Napoleon, this could be a great follow-up.

The first two are good. After that they're diminishing returns IMHO.
The third might be my favorite. Only part way through 4 though.

I have read it. It is very good. There's a lot of digression on Tolstoy's theories of history, but since that relates well to any study of Napoleon, it probably won't bother you. And the personal/family drama stuff is top notch.

Thank you for your response, sdedalus!

It's next then after I read The Romanovs: 1613-1918 which is a history but should be fascinating as well.

Is that the book that came out recently? I almost impulse-bought it in a library last year.
