Last 7 I've seen, rating her performance, not the film:

Florence Foster Jenkins - Terrible
Ricki and the Flash - Terrible
Into the Woods - Terrible
August Osage County - Terrible
Hope Springs - Actually Pretty Good
Iron Lady - Terrible
Julie & Julia - Terrible

So much completely overwrought nonsense.

Meanwhile, as much as I like Lady Bird, I'll consider a Ronan win atonement for when she should have won for Brooklyn. Pun intended.

The best worst Streep performance is Juliette Binoche in Slack Bay.

Julie & Julia - Terrible

What? She was an awesome Julia Child. Even if it were simply an impression it was excellent, but there was real heart to it.

Starting with Toy Story 2, the animated films of Disney and Pixar have consistently contained modern cinemas best plot twists. They usually involve the reveal of the villain.

Best plot twist of modern cinema is Oldboy.

This random thought is about quantity, not quality. John Lasseter has been behind more twists than M. Night.

Toy Story 2
Meet the Robinsons
Wall-E
Frozen
Wreck-It Ralph
Big Hero 6
Zootopia
Moana
Coco

I've seen four, two were very good, the other two were okay to good. This is pure madness.

I would still consider Streep one of the greats. For me, she is often the reason why an otherwise humdrum seeming film (Ricki and the Flash, Julie and Julia, Florence Foster Jenkins, The Iron Lady) turns into something worthwhile. I actually really liked Doubt and August: Osage County. I hated Into the Woods, and even then (other than some visuals/costumes) I kept thinking "wow, she's the best part of this". This isn't a case of just buying into the hype, I do think she is one of those performers that elevates the work as a whole.

I don't think the same could be said of many of the male actors who were famous around the same time she started working- De Niro, Pacino, Hoffman. Nowadays, a good performance from them feels like a shock.

My personal favorite of hers would have to be Adaptation.
