I tried to count this and didn't find a criteria I really liked, so I gave up. But even with the most generous approach, I think around 1% of my list qualify for the sausage party (though they do not include the literal film Sausage Party, which does have some female characters though I don't much care for it).

I should have set some criteria (heck, maybe just the good ol' Bechdel test) but I didn't want to be pushy about it. But come on, 1%? I would say these absolutely qualify:

2001: A Space Odyssey
Reservoir Dogs
The Good, the Bad and the Ugly
Dr. Strangelove

And all of these are at least arguable:

High and Low
Full Metal Jacket
Seven Samurai
Fitzcarraldo
The Blues Brothers
Life of Brian
Stalker
Zodiac
Snatch
The Wall

To what extent is your top 100 (or other number) a sausage party? That is, how many films among your favorites have no significant female roles? I'll leave it up to you to define "significant".

Based on my recollection of the films. Some of these certainly have female roles many might consider significant, but if I barely remember the impact those characters had on the story, I included the film here.

Werckmeister Harmonies
Dr. Strangelove
Evil Dead 2
Repo Man
Yojimbo
Seven Samurai
The Conversation
The Godfather
The French Connection
The Thing
A Serious Man
Raging Bull
All the President's Men
Miller's Crossing
American Movie
Titicut Follies
The General

Which version of Greed should I watch? Some people say the 4 hour version is overlong and filled with lots of stills while others say it's pretty great.

I think that’s the version I saw and it was all of those things. Overall I was happy I didn’t watch a shorter version.

My experience was the same as 1SO. Well worth it.
