I like the kiss in Interstellar too. It's fun. :)

The Shape of Water's moments were bold and weirdly sexy.

That's a good way to describe that movie.

Watching the de-aging of Samuel L. Jackson in the Captain Marvel trailer reinforced the idea that were probably only a decade away from being able to insert any actor into any movie we want.

I mean, watch the thing Jordan Peale did with the facial replacement technology to voice Obama, or read the trend pieces about AI-fake celeb porn. Sure, it will do some cool things for entertainment but it could be a real hellscape for society at large.

this is a good listen (hope it is the correct one):

It was scary what they are being able to do, they can edit a voice recording just by cutting and pasting the words in a different order and you can't tell that it was edit, at least to the normal ear. You may need a specialist to be able to detect doctored recordings just like photos.

True on all counts. And I wasn't meaning to imply I thought this was cool just inevitable. Definitely scary real-world implications. I almost ended my first post with "And porn will lead the way."

I mean, Blu Ray won out over HD DVD because of porn. It's influence is undeniable in these matters.

BR was just a better format, I hardly recall porn being a factor at the time of the format war. I don’t think porn cared, it already knew where the real future was headed
