I rewatched MI: Fallout earlier this week and it has me wondering. Who is the quintessential action star? I like to break it down by 20th and 21st century and in my opinion it's Arnold Schwarzenegger and Tom Cruise.

If you are including Martial Arts movies in the mix of action films.

20th Century
I am tossing up between Arnie, Jackie Chan, Michelle Yeoh, Chow Yun Fat, Jet Li, and JVCD

21st Century
I am tossing up between Cruise, Statham, Tony Jaa, Angelina Jolie, Michelle Rodriguez, and Keanu

Those listed in one century were ruled out of the other

Going with
Arnie and Statham

Any Netflix party is good when it involves alcohol and Spring Breakers.

I wouldn't be averse to Spring Breakers. Even though I'm not basing my list on a rewatching marathon, I have been rewatching a few of my Top 100 of the 2010s.

I'd certainly be open to other suggestions but another film I might propose is Lionheart in association with my Around The World marathon. This is the Nigerian film that had been submitted to the Oscars but not accepted due to it being in English. Possible Netflix Party works best for rewatches because the chat might be too distracting to feel good doing it on an initial viewing (though it didn't stop me from loving Crip Camp).

I'll install it either way, some subreddit has been doing them, but I've been skipping because they seem to pretty much only watch bad series 'classics' that I don't care about. Not sure how heavy I'll be on UFC Saturday though, depends on what pre-research determines for me after losing last weekend at the end on a fight Ferguson should have easily taken, but may be around Sat night, just not sure. And Sunday. And pretty much most other nights too I guess while I'm locked down.

Lionheart sounds good, I'd be down even though it's my first watch. I talk during movies at home if I'm with someone else anyway.

I'd be more interested in rewatching something if we're going to have chat. Just personal preference. Maybe a filmspots favorite from the last decade?

Unless it's anime and roujin is involved. Fun times.

Netflix has War Horse. That was a point of Sam/1SO/Bondo convergence, so maybe of value to the two of you for marathons?

Obviously it doesn't have to be just one or have everyone commit to one film/time.

Anyway, I'm generally free other than weekday working hours what with there being nothing to do outside.

I would probs chat during a War Horse if I'm around. Never miss an opportunity to slam down Spielberg.
