NOTE: If you didn't submit a Filmspot nominations ballot, please hold off from voting in this poll until the nominations are announced, so as not to throw off the stats.

goodguy, you've watched 50 of these, were you wholly uninterested in voting?

EDIT: (I don't mean to sound accusative, but with all your noms in the general thread I thought for sure you would submit a ballot.)

How many people have submitted ballots by now? Also, how much less mainstream than I believed is the forum? Only 10 people out of 27 watched Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them whereas 18 watched Everybody Wants Some!!.

I think the final ballot count was 34.

Among those 50 are only two films I feel strongly about, although of course a few more I liked for various reasons. If you look at my FYCs or better at my TYSF 2016 list, none of my Top 13 films except the Maddin had any fighting chance in the nominations, meaning I would have had to settle for only maybe some of my second tier nominations getting true, which wasn't enough motivation to participate this year.

I think the difference is Everybody Wants Some!! came out in April and has been on DVD/Streaming for months, while Fantastic Beasts came out a couple months ago and isn't available for home viewing.

Yeah, that's certainly part of it. This tends to slightly overvalue movies from the first half of the year, though by this time many of the movies of the year are "available" to be watched.
