I know, and so we arrive at his fourth feature and ten years into his career. Compared to this, counting a co-credit or not feels a little arbitrary. Just sayin’.

Where does The Salesman fall? I'd nominate it for a few things if its eligible. Surprised that no one has mentioned it given how Asghar Farhadi is generally loved around here.

It's on my ballot for Actor, Screenplay and Foreign Language Film.

Definitely the best Farhadi, but that's not saying much.

Doubt I even nominate it for anything, but mostly for my personal list is Before I Wake a 2016, 2017, or 2018 film?

Yes to all three, for Filmspot purposes, but it probably most belongs in 2018, since that's when it finally found release in the US (Netflix).

That's the answer I wanted to hear. You've always got my back, pix.

I doubt it would make an impact at this point, but is The Love Witch FYC eligible?

I'm guessing not since it had a limited release in the US fall 2016. For those in Chicago, the Siskel has a few screenings of it coming up in Feb.

pixote has the final say so, but I believe it would be eligible. It never played on more than 100 screens in 2016 and didn't see DVD release until 2017.
