The only I haven't seen on my watchlist at this moment is Brazil.

It was less an exercise in inscrutables, and more an exercise in brutality, trying to get me to lose faith in humanity, that sort of torture.

Oh, I see. Well, Old Boy certainly fits the bill. Barton Fink however, is pretty much violence free until the last scenes.
