Yea, I tested a couple of bookmarked old links I have and they worked.

Yep, it works for links now. Thank you!

However, since the redirection is implemented via client-side javascript, it doesn't work for inline images like smileys. Not sure why the old smileys are still referenced anyway. For an example, just click reply in a topic - the smileys don't show up above the textbox (tested with Chrome, Firefox and Opera).

Will this be a major issue? We don't currently have a solution beyond the javascrip.

Not to me. The important thing is that the links continue to work. So, again, thank you for that.

The smiley thing is most likely just a misconfiguration of the forum software.

This is actually voluntary. It's a social experiment meant to create empathy towards people who have trouble reading body language by recreating their impediment in a controlled environment.
