chardy is the one other person in this forum with both Garden State and A Royal Affair in his Top 100. What a splendid fellow.

I am having trouble finding someting I would like to watch because all the things that were on my watchlist at any time I have already seen. I know the club is meant to make us discover things we wouldn't otherwise have watched, but I am watching very few movies at the moment and am not in a mood to take many chances. Tentatively:

Carnal Knowledge
The Bad Lieutenant
Closer

It's a pretty great list that said.

Explicitly, the new ones are:

Winter Sleep
Mustang
Youth
Son of the Bride
Toni Erdmann
Roman Holiday
The Conformist
When Harry Met Sally...
Stalker
Dressed to Kill
All About My Mother
Rio Bravo
Lost in Translation
The Handmaiden
Supersonic
Those are my principles, and if you don't like them... well, I have others.

Only two unseen from chardy's list. I am going to try to get to both French Kiss (though Netflix has it as a Very Long Wait  :-\) and Before the Devil Knows You're Dead (which I'm buried on the wait list for at the library).

Failing that I'll try for a rewatch. Shame falls in the category of a film competitive for my own top-100 but only seen once or perhaps a second viewing of Ex Machina is in order.

I think you could find something you like in Before the Devil Knows You're Dead. My second viewings of the two rewatch options you mention certainly reinforced by affection for them.

Check out the additions for other options!

Unseen:
84. Ida
83. Curfew
70. 35 Shots of Rum
65. Larry Flynt: The Right to Be Left Alone
64. The Bad Lieutenant: Port of Call – New Orleans
63. The Square

Will watch Curfew in a few days (it's a short, right?) but can't watch any of the others until the end of the month. Will certainly watch Ida, though, and hopefully another.

Edit: Will probably use the new list actually:
Mustang
Winter Sleep
Youth
El hijo de la novia
Toni Erdmann
Pride & Prejudice

All sound interesting.

Hmmm, not a lot 'form' on display in this list. Maybe Mustang and the P&P mini-series are your best bets in addition to Ida.

Two cynical films there and one that laughs at cynicism. You'll like Carnal Knowledge. Other two are divisive and I'm not sure where you'll fall!

Dressed to Kill

This is the 1980 De Palma?

The additions also give me Winter Sleep (likely skip), Youth (I liked The Great Beauty so probable), Son of the Bride, The Conformist and Supersonic. Unfortunately it adds zero Netflix Instant/Library options but I'll make sure I get at least one on DVD.

ETA: Supersonic (the Oasis doc, correct?) is on Amazon Prime so I'll get that.

14.Winter Sleep 2014
45.Mommy 2014
48.Head-On 2004
54.Pride and Prejudice 1995
55.Happy Gilmore 1996
56.Wild Tales 2014
57.Before the Devil Knows You’re Dead 2007
61.In America 2002
71.The Guard 2011
77.Youth 2015
79.Mustang 2015
80.Carnal Knowledge 1971
82.Son of the Bride 2001
84.The Intouchables 2011
97.Me, Myself & Irene 2000
100.Toni Erdmann 2016

Toni is on my watchlist. I like Ceylan so Winter Sleep is probably a safe bet, and Youth is appealing since I loved The Great Beauty. Head-On, In America, Carnal Knowledge and BtDKYD are all ones I feel like I "should" see. And I'm sure my wife would be happy to sit down to Pride & Prejudice with me (although that's a big time commitment). But it'll largely depend on what I can get my hands on, preferably streaming.

I must admit I have a perverse curiosity about Happy Gilmore, having never seen one of Sandler's "comedies".
