This is my cue to finally get around to Mulholland Dr. I'm sure that'll be a lot of fun to review.

I did a more recent Top 100 end of last year which may give people more to choose from:

https://letterboxd.com/chardy999/list/chardys-top-100-2016/

I'd guess there are perhaps 20 new ones there. Since that was posted you can add The Handmaiden and the Oasis doco Supersonic if you so please.

I added this newer list to the initial post.

Also, if folks coming up on the list-- Sam?  pix?  want to send me their most recent list, I'll be sure to use it when your time comes.

I'll be updating mine shortly before my month.

Chardy, your new list certainly adds more films that I haven't seen-- Winter Sleep, Supersonic, et al.

But I'll stick with the ones I chose from your original list:
Open Hearts, because I need more Suxanne Bier in my life
and Before the Devil Knows Your Dead, because I've been meaning to see that one.

I haven't seen Son of the Bride, but I worked with its director Juan José Campanella, which is all I know about it. I'll keep the mystery and choose to watch it.

14.Winter Sleep 2014
45.Mommy 2014
48.Head-On 2004
54.Pride and Prejudice 1995
55.Happy Gilmore 1996
56.Wild Tales 2014
57.Before the Devil Knows You’re Dead 2007
61.In America 2002
71.The Guard 2011
77.Youth 2015
79.Mustang 2015
80.Carnal Knowledge 1971
82.Son of the Bride 2001
84.The Intouchables 2011
97.Me, Myself & Irene 2000
100.Toni Erdmann 2016

Toni is on my watchlist. I like Ceylan so Winter Sleep is probably a safe bet, and Youth is appealing since I loved The Great Beauty. Head-On, In America, Carnal Knowledge and BtDKYD are all ones I feel like I "should" see. And I'm sure my wife would be happy to sit down to Pride & Prejudice with me (although that's a big time commitment). But it'll largely depend on what I can get my hands on, preferably streaming.

I must admit I have a perverse curiosity about Happy Gilmore, having never seen one of Sandler's "comedies".

All the ones you mention seem good candidates for you, particularly Youth.

chardy, these are the films I'll be reviewing.

American Beauty
The Piano Teacher
Repulsion

Wait, Sandy is going to watch The Piano Teacher? Oh boy...

It's a woman's movie of a different nature! I have confidence!

Good! I've just rewatched this on the big screen so it's very fresh. I am ready to wax lyrical about it again.
