It's been a wild ride from Junior Spielberg to utter disaster to what I think is his rightful place, B-movie guru with great hooks and questionable/laughable execution of those ideas. I'm not a fan, but I've watched everything because his films rarely ask for much from the viewer and are usually fun to talk about after. That's his one consistency, the good ones are as much fun to talk about as the mediocre and terrible ones.
Funny to have two directors in a row I don't think are good, but I'm always interested to watch what they make.

Falls between Michael Bay and Paul SW Anderson, but closer to Bay, and someone whose films always improve when they're longer, even though their length then becomes an issue. I've become more comfortable over time and rewatches saying Watchmen is legit great, and if there was a 3-hour version of Sucker Punch, I'm sure I'd watch it.

A director I've been interested in seeing more from. I watched Jesus of Montreal in film school - my roommate later bought the laserdisc - but still think I should see more before forming an overall opinion.
