Bob Dylan's new album Rough And Rowdy Ways will be released on June 19th. It is the first one of original songs in eight years. There is a third song from it titled False Prophet availible. The artwork is a revision of a pulp magazine cover from 1942. Some think that the shadow resembles an infamous public person. Oh, well.

It was announced in January this year that James Mangold is planning a movie on Bob Dylan's mid 60s transition from a folk music hero to an electrified rock music icon. The project's working title is Going Elecric and Timothee Chalamet is to play the Dylan part. I have few concerns with a project like this even though it seems a bit superfluous, to say the least. Dylan's path to electricity was covered pretty well in the 2007 documentary The Other Side Of The Mirror.

Bob Dylan has sold his catalog of songs to Universal Music Publishing for somwhere between $300 million and $400 million.

Karl Marx wrote about the accumulation of capital in Das Kapital (1867). Dylan mentions Marx in two of his songs:
When You Gonna Wake Up?
(1979)
My Own Version Of You
(2020).
