There are heaps of Disney sequels that were straight to DVD. The Lion King one was okay.

Depending on which one.  The Lion King 2: Simba's Pride was alright.   The Lion King 1 1/2 was horrible.

Aladdin and the King of Thieves was pretty good as well.

I like King of Thieves. Probably have the VCR somewhere yet. I also found Hakuna Matata hilarious when I saw it, so I don't know what's wrong with you.

Is BLANK CHECK direct-to-DVD!? Because I want to vote for BLANK CHECK!

Obviously would have been direct to VHS.  8)
