Idk, to me bonanza is just such a silly and sensationalized word for something so serious.

Did the MeToo movement really start in 2017? Damn, where does the time go?

I split off the general talk about sexual harassment and put it in Idle Chatter. The original thread (this one) has been renamed to reflect its original intent, to discuss sexual Harassment in the Entertainment World.

Rose McGowan speaks out about Alexander Payne.

I read the XOJane articles a few years back so I already knew Payne exhibited this kind of behavior but this adds to the pile of evidence against him.

Awful stuff. And I just wonder, you see these allegations, but then what? Does anything happen? What is the threshold for action? I admittedly don't follow entertainment news, but with politicians, it seems murky. Al Franken, done. Brett Kavanaugh, confirmed for SCOTUS regardless. NOT trying to make this political, only pointing out what I understand about this, which is I can't find any consistent theme for action besides the most disgusting and egregious cases seem to maybe get sorted out(?) (like Bill Cosby, Harvey Weinstein).

It's just so hard to trust someone on sexual assault allegations if we don't know their opinions on the Russian government. Oh well.  :'(
