Top 5 Lightsaber Fights

They have changed a lot over the years. The OT was limited in its technology and at its best relied heavily on brute strength. The prequels introduced us to Darth Maul and his double lightsaber and incorporated force lightning into the fights. They also featured fights between more diverse sets of characters and larger groups of opponents. They gave us Yoda, Sidious et. all. Several fighting styles were developped to suit different characters and occasions. Now things have changed again. Kylo Ren is a hammer tearing its way into his enemies while Rey mostly improvises. And then there's Rogue One.

Choose wisely, and may the Force be with you.

1. Luke and Vader in the Emperor's throne room - Return of the Jedi
The choreography, the score, the emotion. A perfect culmination of the Luke/Vader storyline set against the backdrop of an epic space battle.

2. Luke and Vader in Cloud City - The Empire Strikes Back
The most visceral duel in the Star Wars films. Vader was never more formidable, leaving our hero outmatched in every way. Iconic.

3. Rey and Kylo in Snoke's throne room - The Last Jedi
Thrilling. Great choreography that built off Rey and Kylo's growing bond. It's intricate without being too clever or flowery and has great punctuating kills.

4. Luke on the desert skiff - Return of the Jedi
I recreated this scene with my toys more than any other. All our characters are there fighting over the gaping maw of the Sarlac. Like a great pirate melee.

5. Luke vs the Wampa - The Empire Strikes Back
Just a tremendous amount of suspense and a thrilling first glimpse of Luke using the force in a tangible way.

Apparently philip doesn't believe in the existence of the prequels.
